In the book entitled “the promise of sociology” which is written by American sociologist c. wright mills, he introduced in chapter 1 the term he coined as the sociological imagination. Thinking sociologically means to discern that the personal problems we face or experience are often undergone similarly by other people. Through sociological imagination, it enables the people to be aware of the connection between our lives and the course of history that can help shape not only ourselves but also the course of the world.
It is inevitable to feel trapped within ourselves, thinking that our problems are such a burden and it feels like the weight of the world is in your shoulders. Also, the daily routine of our lives that imitates a never-ending cycle of a same dream occurring every night. Waking up in the morning, going to school and going home feels monotonous as my everyday life. The capability of what we do is bounded by how we live our lives and what boundaries are we trying to break. Our vision is the usual scene we encounter
